Welcome to the website of the Quantum Information Laboratory (QI Lab) at the Department of Engineering, University of Ferrara, Italy. 

Our research interests focus on the design and characterization of quantum systems for a variety of application fields via multidisciplinary approaches at the intersection of quantum physics, information theory, statistical inference, and optimization theory. 

Research activities, conducted in the context of national and international projects, cross-pollinate ideas from engineering, mathematics, and physics, expanding upon consolidated research competences on classical information technologies.
